Chardonnay Blending Class
with Austin’s Winemaker Luciano Lombardini
Step into our winemaker’s shoes and discover the art of Chardonnay blending.
Ever wondered what goes into creating the perfect Chardonnay? Join us for an interactive blending experience led by our very own Winemaker, Luciano, and discover how different maturation techniques influence the character, texture and flavour of a wine.
You’ll taste Chardonnay components matured in a variety of ways, each bringing something different to the glass. Your job? Discover what happens when they come together!
Guided by Luciano, you’ll learn what to look for when tasting individual components, explore their unique characteristics and experiment with different blending percentages to create a Chardonnay that suits your palate. Along the way, Luciano will share insights into the decisions, techniques and creativity that go into crafting a finished wine.
Whether you’re a passionate Chardonnay lover or simply curious about what happens behind the scenes, this is your chance to taste, experiment, ask questions and have a little fun with the winemaking process.
Your experience includes:
- A guided tasting of individual Chardonnay components
- Insights and conversation with Winemaker Luciano
- Hands-on blending experiments using different percentages
- A deeper understanding of oak maturation, tank maturation and wine structure
- A delicious cheese platter to enjoy along the way
