Laam Thai began in London with chefs Nathan “Phayu” Brown and KG, whose families are from Northern Thailand. What started as a series of sold-out supper clubs in the UK has since found a new home in Australia.

Laam is about sharing regional Thai food that rarely makes it onto restaurant menus. We combine traditional Thai techniques and philosophies with a new-school approach, creating dishes that are adventurous and exciting, yet still feel like home. We encourage our guests to step outside their comfort zone and try something new—don’t be afraid of the chilli or the fermented fish sauce. These flavours are bold, unforgettable, and might just change the way you think about Thai food.

Laam means “delicious” in Northern Thai dialect, and that’s how we see our cooking. We focus on flavour, and try to honour the people and stories behind each dish. Laam is about community, we love talking with our guests, our suppliers, and everyone in-between, because food is best when it’s shared.
