FAQs

The cellar door is open Thursday to Sunday 11am to 5pm.

Build-your-own cheese plate options will be available ‘from the deli’ every day. Friday-Sunday we also have a variety of exciting chefs taking over the kitchen.  See above for the latest residency.

We are taking bookings for tastings and limited Table bookings. We have ample seating for walk ins.

We have plenty of space for walk ins. A booking does help us plan for staffing and ensures you will get the best seats in the house, so it is encouraged. However there is enough tables and outdoor space for walk ins.

Tastings for up to 4 people are available at the communal bar.

We have our entire portfolio on for tastings at both our Austin’s and 6Ft6 ranges (up to 13 wines!).

The outdoor space will be very child-friendly with vast open lawns. It’s the ideal spot to grab a picnic rug and let the kids run around while you enjoy some food and wine in the sun. Inside seated bookings will also be available, however the tasting bar isn’t suitable for children.

Both inside and outside spaces are wheelchair accessible with ample space to move around. There is a ramp to enter the cellar door and an accessible toilet.

Dogs will be allowed on a lead, outside as long as they are supervised. Please call ahead to ensure there is outside space and not too busy to bring your beloved pet. Of course, guide and assistance dogs are welcome both inside and out.

We are located in Sutherlands Creek, a beautiful but slightly hidden pocket of the world. We are an hour drive from Melbourne, twenty minutes from Geelong and an hour from Ballarat.

Austin’s is fabulous!! I have only been twice but it’s a favourite in my books. I have been once for a ladies lunch and I have also been with my hubby and my daughter and it was perfect for both occasions. Can’t wait to go back again when the weather warms up for some delicious wines outside.

As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of Victoria, I ventured out to see some wineries in this region 1st stop of the morning had the pleasure of coming here, Kristy was a great host and shared with me some lovely tasting wines. I ended up walking away with a bottle of pinot gris from their Austin reserved range.

The wine discovery tasting was a great experience, knowledgeable staff with great explanation. The wines are up there for this region, and the curated Riesling is very different and delicious. Then the food from Nama was exceptional, one of the best digestation menus I have enjoyed. An Asian fusion cooked superbly, with delicious flavours. Come and enjoy this menu before they leave in March.

I have been to Austin's Wines a few times. I love that they offer free wine tastings so you can learn about all the different wines. The cellar door overlooks the beautiful vineyard and I believe was an old sheep sheering shed that has been converted into a really lovely cellar door. It is always a relaxing atmosphere particularly on a weekend when they usually have a musician and is my "go to place" on nice sunny day (or even a not so sunny day). There is always great food menu that changes so it's nice to have different options available.

We had such a wonderful afternoon here enjoying the generous wine tasting and Adam's great knowledge and hospitable service. Was difficult to pick a favourite, so we bought a dozen different bottles and joined the wine club. The surrounding vineyards were a lovely backdrop as we sat and ate lunch. Will definitely be back to enjoy this gorgeous location.
